Flame of Provision Mission
Our Mission

Worship Becomes Service.
Faith Becomes Action. Compassion Becomes Provision.

Flame of Provision seeks to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through practical acts of service, compassion, provision, and faithful presence.

What We Believe and Why We Serve

We serve people experiencing homelessness, hunger, poverty, isolation, and hardship across the Charleston, South Carolina area and the surrounding Lowcountry — and we help Christians grow spiritually through meaningful acts of service. The work of ministry, we believe, begins long before someone distributes a meal: it begins through Scripture, prayer, spiritual formation, humility, and a willingness to see others through the eyes of Christ.

Where We Serve

Our focus is the Charleston, South Carolina area and surrounding communities, including North Charleston, Summerville, Mount Pleasant, Goose Creek, Hanahan, Ladson, West Ashley, James Island, Johns Island, and the surrounding counties of Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester. Volunteers and church partners from other areas are welcome to participate remotely when appropriate.

What Drives the Work

  • Compassion with dignity. Every person we serve is a neighbor made in the image of God — never a project.
  • Service as worship. Practical help is an expression of worship, discipleship, compassion, and obedience to Christ.
  • Preparation before action. We prepare hearts through Scripture and prayer before hands serve meals, which is why training is free and central to who we are.
  • Partnership. We serve alongside churches, food pantries, and community ministries rather than replacing them.
  • Christ at the center. The mission is not simply to feed people. It is to help people experience the love of Christ, and to equip believers to demonstrate that love.
